Product Care

It is important to know how to care for your pins so they can stand the test of time.

What to avoid:

Extreme decrease or increase in temperature: The environment matters! Any extreme decrease or increase in temperature can adversely affect enamel colour. Never wear pins in pools, saunas, or rainy weather. Keep your enamel pin away from hot car interiors and heat vents.

Moisture: Rust and pitting of metals can occur.

Storing pins close to other pieces: If you're a pin collector, make sure you store your pins apart from one another. Some pins are prone to scratching easily, especially if it has screen printing.

Harsh chemicals: Chemicals and solutions that can be damaging to pin enamel include household and chemical cleaning products, and citrus/vinegar solutions.

Cleaning:

Our pins are made from hard enamel. We do not recommend cleaning soft enamel pins.

Microfiber cloths and non-abrasive polishing creams are excellent at cleaning, preventing/removing rust and maintaining your pin's original shine. The key is to make sure you're not being too rough, as this could damage the pins.

A soft-cloth will also do the trick!
